Fall meant changes (not just the leaves)
Well, there has been some happenings at my place of business (work) my best friend, who is also my co-worker, is going downtown to the admin. offices. she is going to be helping out while they search for a replacement admin.assistant. Unfortunatly, this means that we are down a man and though circulation offered us a PSA, I dont really think that the one they picked is a good match for our department, I think that Jenny asked him to work downstairs so he can be away from them (and the public) hehehehehe.
Yeah.
Also, our recptionist, of many years (49 with the system) is retiring, and while I think her replacement is a sweet girl, I am really going to miss Ginny. (and I cant figure out why the new girl keeps coming to me with her issues, I only know what I know and nothing more - though apparently I know a hell of alot more than she does)
Not only do I have to adjust to the new receptionist, but there have been other shifts in the past 6 months, that have taken time to get used to. I am still trying to understand why it takes 2 weeks for our supply orders to arrive (Angela was the bomb-diggity, and while I am glad for her oppourtunity and move to Reference, she was much more efficiant, and much quicker :) But I guess that sometimes things that used to be arent a priority anymore and we just have to get used to a slower order/delivery system.
So... these are the things I have to deal with at work.
Bright side, my sister is working at my branch, and we can ride together and eat lunch together, because she has a car, and I think that she will be more willing to do it :)
I am thinking of getting a loan to purchase a CAR!!!! as I am quite fed up with Dorcas and her shit.
She gets the car all week, and I have to be dropped off and picked up... and most saturdays, she works at 6am, which means that I have to get up early (which is NOT so much fun) and take her if I want to use the car...
She agreed to let my Aunt borrow it whenever she wants (this is the same Aunt who sold us the vehicle and said 'oh, yeah, as far as I know it runs great, and is insured til August (it was March when we bought it) she was going to vaccume it out, but her vaccume didnt work, so I got a fithy, full of dog hair and the lingering stale cigarette smell vehicle - well, ok, fine, no problem, I like to clean...but it then cost me over 500$ to get it inspected, and then two weeks later, we get a flat and there is NO TIRE IRON IN THE FUCKING CAR...I was irritated.
On top of all this, the battery craps out, and she cant find the reciept, so instead of paying a low fee (no more than 40$)and installing one ourselves, my stupid sister has the car towed and pays over 100$ for a battery.
So yeah, my aunt borrowed the car, and continues to whine about selling it (if she didnt want to then why the hell did she ??? I mean she was going to sell it, and knowing that Dorcas and I needed a car, she was going to offer it to us to use until she got a buyer...instead of giving us a nice family discount (Aunt Pam sold Hannah their van for 100 plus tags so it was about 200$ for the car, but nooooooooooo. we are still paying off a 2,200 car. (and I am slightly bitter and annoyed that my meddling mother is making me share with my dumbass of a sister.
My best friend (whom I got a job with the company that I work for) is moving up(?) I wish her well, but I really dont want her to leave. Because it means that we might get stuck with the troll,er,I mean, PSA that we were 'loaned'...
Grrr. I am used to a high turn over rate in Retail, I had nooooo idea that it would be this bad at the library.
